Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan Albion is responsible for providing individualized nursing care using the nursing process to residents. The role involves collaboration with residents, families, and a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care in all phases of preventative care and treatment.

You may serve as charge nurse, delegate tasks to staff, and ensure safe, reliable administration of care while adhering to nursing standards and ethics.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license where practice occurs and/or multistate licensure (NLC).
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Coordinate care with residents, families and an interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed or unlicensed staff.
• Ensure safe administration of resident care and compliance with nursing practice standards.
