Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the MedSurg 5th Floor team on a full-time basis. The role provides direct patient care, leadership of assigned staff, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care.

The position holds a 36-hour weekly schedule (7p–7a), every other weekend, with no on-call. It includes a sign-on bonus, state health benefits, a state pension plan, up to six weeks of

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Active RN licensure in South Carolina or compact state.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care using the nursing process.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
