Job summary

Memorial Health System, Belpre, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 12-hour night shift. The role provides professional nursing care, patient teaching, and supervision of support staff within facility policies.

The ideal candidate holds OH (or WV) RN licensure, current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certification within specified timelines, and participates in ongoing stroke education and RQI compliance.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Ohio or WV license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS and annual stroke education certification required upon hire.
• ACLS, PALS and TNCC required within 1 year of employment.
• ASLS certification preferred upon hire.
• NRP within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in bedside shift report/handoff.
• Performs hourly rounding.
• Obtains required patient assessments and reassessments per nursing policy.
• Coordinates discharge teaching for patient and family and documents appropriately.
• Implements and monitors nursing interventions.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes in Meditech within required timeframe.
• Collaborates with team members to identify patient needs.
• Communicates changes in patient conditions with physician using SBAR.
