Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Emerson 6 unit in Weymouth, MA. You will provide individualized nursing care at night, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, in alignment with SSH policies.

The role requires an MA RN license and appropriate certifications, with a focus on safety, documentation, and family-centered care. The 36-hour night schedule includes weekends and holidays as applicable in the unit’s rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: preferred graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in MA with applicable certifications.
• ACLS/BLS/NRP/PALS etc may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of SSH medication administration policies and procedures.
• Completes medication reconciliation per SSH policy.
• Documents pain level and responses to interventions.
• Develops, discusses, and communicates an individualized plan of care for each patient.
• Initiates admission assessment within 8 hours of admission.
