Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation/Med/Surg Telemetry unit to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process. You will provide direct patient care, while guiding patient education and coordinating with the medical team.

Requires active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and cardiology/arrhythmia interpretation skills. Ventilator management experience is a plus; BSN preferred for this role."

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition, including cardiac monitoring and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
