Job summary

The Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Services provides nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Medical/Surgical Unit (e.g., 2 East, 3 East, 4 East, 5 East, 6 East, 7 East). The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care according to hospital standards.

Requirements include an active RN license in Alabama, ability to read/write/speak English, and completion of BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state is required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• ACLS/Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred; Special Procedures may require it.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using nursing process for adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Support the mission, vision, and values of the hospital and department.
