Job summary

Southeast Health in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Services unit to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for adults and geriatrics. The role emphasizes adherence to hospital policies, collaboration with care teams, and ongoing competency development.

The position requires an active Alabama RN license, English proficiency, BLS, and intent to complete ACLS (ACLS preferred).

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Successful course completion in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Successful completion of institutional Intermediate EKG course.
• Annual completion of competency requirements.
• ACLS course preferred.
• Special Procedures where required.
• Experience using Windows-based computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures and support mission/vision of the hospital.
• Collaborate with the Medical/Surgical Unit team (e.g., 2 East, 3 East, etc.).
• Participate in ongoing competency development and quality improvement.
