Job summary

Colusamedcenter is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg department. This per diem, non-exempt position reports to the Unit Manager and supports patient care on the unit with occasional night shifts.

Required are RN licensure in the state, BLS and ACLS, good communication skills, and physical/emotional stamina. Prior clinical experience is preferred; supervision is minimal and related duties may be assigned by Nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduation from school of nursing preferred.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS credentials.
• Physical and emotional stamina to perform duties.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Recent clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation of patients to and from the patient care units.
• Participate in self-development and education as directed by Unit Manager.
• Attend seminars, in-service programs, and continuing education as required.
• Perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
• Assist with patient transport to appointments as needed.
• Handle other duties as assigned by department managers or Director of Nursing.
