Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a per diem, night-shift Registered Nurse in California (Mammoth Lakes). The RN will assess patients, coordinate care, administer medications, and communicate with teams to ensure safety and quality.

Requirements include CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, PALS or 90 days, and at least 1 year of inpatient experience. Wage starts at $58.47–$70.87/hour with a $11 night shift differential; weekend/holiday rotation and on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• CCRN certification required or begin within 90 days of hire.
• One year of inpatient nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the patient's physical status; collect data from interviews, records, labs and physician documentation.
• Plan and deliver patient care based on diagnoses and orders, and correlate physicians' orders to diagnosis.
• Administer medications with knowledge of actions, contraindications and side effects.
• Monitor laboratory values related to diagnosis and provide patient teaching.
• Admit, transfer and discharge patients; give concise shift reports and evaluate nursing interventions against expected outcomes.

Job description

The Med/Surg Registered Nurse initiates a plan of care based on identified medical and nursing diagnosis which is consistent with knowledge of illnesses, injuries, diseases, human behavior, and outlined standards of care. He/ she directs and coordinates with other departments and ancillary personnel to provide a safe environment and a high standard of quality care.What You'll Do:Carefully asses and monitors the physical status of the patient. Collect and record necessary data through patient interviews, significant other, observation, review of records, review of diagnostic results, review of physician documentation and consultation with physician and others.
