Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's in Ohio seeks a Staff Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care on a 40-bed Mother Infant unit. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support maternity patients, well moms, and newborns, while integrating evidence-based practices and hospital standards.

The role requires an accredited nursing education, current Ohio RN license, BLS/CPR, and solid EMR skills. Commitment to safety, teaching families, and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program with Ohio RN eligibility.
• Current Ohio RN license and BLS/CPR certification required.
• Experience with electronic medical records and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Assist providers with assessments, examinations and treatments.
• Perform basic medical procedures under supervision and set up procedures.
• Administer medications following organizational policies and guidelines.
• Respond to emergencies under provider direction when needed.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in the chart.
• Ensure care is delivered with accountability and coordinated with the care team.
