Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and to uphold patient rights and confidentiality. The role requires holding an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact licensure, with relevant certifications as needed for the unit.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care across departments, evaluating care effectiveness, and maintaining professional accountability for the care delivered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Maintain current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification or completion within 30 days; ACLS and/or neonatal and pediatric certifications may be required.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and ability to meet state board requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and protects patient rights and confidentiality.
