Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current RN license in the state of Texas or compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) issued by AHA or Red Cross.
• 1 year acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during each shift; report changes.
• Administer medications, monitor therapeutic response and document care.
• Provide prompt, compassionate patient care and address requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up; translate medical terms as needed.
