Job summary

Methodist Health System in the Dallas area seeks a Registered Nurse to provide highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process. You will support the hospital’s mission and values while delivering direct and indirect patient care.

This evening/night shift (12X3 Night) requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active Basic Life Support certification, and a current Texas RN license or eligibility, with at least six months RN experience;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and team building.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of patient/family education.
• Communicates with the team, patients, and families and verifies understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, timely written patient information communication.
• Provides safe, accurate, timely medication and IV administration.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
