Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care, provide direct patient care, and educate patients and families. The RN will support professional practice and lead quality improvement efforts within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.

The role requires a current RN license, flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, and may include driving a personal vehicle. TN sponsorship is available for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including days/evenings/nights/holidays/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, direct patient care, and patient/family education.
• Support nursing practice across settings and continuum of care.
• Lead through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care according to patient needs and resources.
• May be required to drive personal vehicle for role responsibilities.
