Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and support transitions of care. The RN will work within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, leading care delivery and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements and BLS.
• Experience: 1 year RN in an applicable care setting or 1 year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and patient education across care settings.
• Support transitions of care and professional nursing practice.
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, patient acuity, and resources.
• Participate on committees or projects as needed.
