Job summary

Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to oversee total nursing care on the unit and ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Under general supervision, you will plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care with emphasis on safety, documentation, and policy adherence.

Night shift, full-time, 7P-7A, 36 hours per week, every other weekend and rotating holidays. Requires accredited nursing education; Ohio RN license; CPR and ACLS certifications; basic computer

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active State of Ohio Registered Nurse License.
• CPR and ACLS certifications.
• BSN preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
• Initiates and implements patient education and care plan.
• Ability to assess, critically think, rapidly recognize and respond to clinical changes.
• Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.
• Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.
• Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel.
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
• Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.
• Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.
