Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS certification required at start of employment.
• De-Escalation training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessments, formulates plan of care, oversees implementation of plan of care, evaluate and adjust plan of care utilizing critical thinking skills.
• Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
• Educates patients and families using Teach Back to confirm understanding.
• Supervises and mentors staff and students; ensures safe patient care.
• Participates in discharge planning and transitions of care; serves as patient advocate.
• Documents pertinent findings timely in medical records.
• Communicates via SBAR during handoffs and bed-side shift reporting.
