Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby unit in La Plata, Maryland, on the night shift (3x12 schedule). This 13-week contract requires expertise in postpartum care, assessment, and family education.

Experience in couplet care or mother-baby units preferred. Active Maryland RN license with NCC C-EFM, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications are expected; familiarity with the Epic charting system is required for documentation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state is required.
• NCC C-EFM certification is required.
• BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Experience in mother-baby or couplet care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage care for mother and newborn in couplet care.
• Provide breastfeeding education and newborn care guidance.
• Administer medications and assist with circumcisions and sterile exams.
• Monitor vital signs and document in Epic charting system.
• Support discharge planning and patient education.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols.
