Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced registered nurse for night shift. The role involves direct patient care, education, and coordination with the care team in a 24/7 acute-care setting located in Sherman Oaks, CA.

Eligible candidates possess a valid RN license, BLS certification, and familiarity with behavioral health workflows and safety protocols to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
• Behavioral Violence Prevention within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually

Responsibilities

• Treat patients and educate patients about mental and medical conditions.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families; run therapeutic groups as needed.
• Administer treatment and medications and assist with patient follow-up.
