Job summary

Palms Behavioral Health in Harlingen, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the nights shift. The RN will coordinate care with LPNs and CNAs, develop and evaluate patient care plans, and ensure accurate documentation and safe medication administration.

This onsite role requires an acute psychiatric setting background, CPR certification, and a current RN license. One year of nursing experience in clinical or behavioral health is preferred, with de-escalation and trauma-informed care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and develops care plans.
• Maintains accurate medical records and educates patients and families about conditions.
• Administers medications per orders and ensures correct identification and documentation.
