Qualifications

• Graduates of an approved school of nursing are required.
• Must be licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
• Experience preferred in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.
• Employee must read/write/speak English.
• Provide verification of TB test as required by state law.
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collects, validates, synthesizes, and records objective and subjective data; prioritizes data collection based on patient needs.
• Establishes measurable short and long-term goals for identified health problems and needs; develops interventions.
• Performs nursing functions and provides care within scope; coordinates and delegates care as appropriate.
• Verifies accurate transcription of medical orders; administers medications per physician orders; documents interventions and responses.
• Supervises staff, evaluates plans of care, and participates in discharge planning and team communications.
