Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a Level A Refrigeration Mechanic for our Delaware facility. This role operates and maintains plant refrigeration systems, requiring RETA Level III certification and ongoing Level IV progress, with a focus on safe, efficient cooling operations.

The position involves a 4-day schedule, 6:00pm–6:30am, and occasional weekends. Candidates should have journeyman-level training and substantial hands-on experience in industrial maintenance to support continuous plant uptime.

Qualifications

• HS/Technical/Vocational training with journeyman and/or certifications in one or more disciplines.
• 5-7 yrs. Industrial Manufacturing or Skilled Trades experience.
• Level III RETA Certification, HazMat Trained, advanced knowledge to function as senior level mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control all plant refrigeration equipment and ensure preventive maintenance is completed.
• Complete work orders, assist other level refrigeration mechanics as needed.
• Repair, troubleshoot, maintain, inspect and adjust complex refrigeration processes for uninterrupted cooling.
• Adhere to safety requirements, including PPE, lockout/tagout and process safety management.
• Daily/Weekly reporting for all work completed, hours spent, and materials used.
