Job summary

US Foods in the Atlanta area is seeking a skilled Fleet Reefer Technician to service and repair diesel reefer systems (Thermo King & Carrier) and perform preventative maintenance to keep a safe, reliable fleet. You will document repairs using fleet software, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with partners on action plans.

Requires EPA 608/609 certs, TK/Carrier certs, and a valid driver's license. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits including

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
• Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.
• EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) & EPA 609 Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS).
• Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
• Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
• Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
• Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
• Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
