Central New York Feeds is seeking a Receiving & Warehouse Operator to manage the intake of bulk and packaged ingredients by rail, truck, and van. You will inspect shipments, collect samples, unload and store materials, and feed ingredients into the production system.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to work independently. Starting pay is $24.50/hour with a $2/hour night-shift differential, plus potential semiannual bonuses up to 15% of earnings.

Formación

• Ability to self-manage time and problem solve independently.
• Previous experience in agriculture preferred.
• Good physical condition: can regularly stand, walk, climb, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in environments with moving mechanical parts, dust, and noise.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Receive bulk ingredients delivered by rail car and bulk truck.
• Receive pallets of bagged ingredients and totes by van trailer.
• Inspect incoming trailers, rail cars, seals, products for damage or discrepancies.
• Verify bills of lading, product descriptions, quantities, lot numbers.
• Collect ingredient samples and verify quality before unloading.
• Document shortages, damaged products, or quality concerns.
• Unload van trailers using forklifts.
• Move ingredients to designated storage locations.
• Rotate inventory and follow FIFO where applicable.
• Coordinate with production for ingredient availability.
• Complete receiving logs and FSMA-related documentation.
