Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. in Bloomfield, CT is hiring a Full-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for the third shift (12:00am–8:00am).

You will support individuals on parole, supervise housing operations, and ensure safety and compliance within Drapelick Center. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, collaboration with program staff, and opportunities for training, certifications, and growth within a growing nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years' experience in the social service or criminal justice field. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
• Attend 40hrs of FBOP required training, prior to working FBOP clients.
• Strong attention to details
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before their scheduled shift; e.g., staff hired for 4pm-12am shift report by 3:45pm.
• Conduct Urinalysis.
• Provide updates on client issues and incidents.
• Verify all physical items passed between shifts.
• Ensure security of facility keys.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches; document results.
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility; document results.
• Confiscate contraband and complete incident report.
• Complete hourly house counts Midnight–8:00am and every 2 hours 8:00am–10:00pm; document results.
• Transport Clients in company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same sex clients and complete required paperwork.
• Supervise all client visitations; sign in/out visitors and contractors.
• Complete intake on new arrivals; facilitate client orientation.
• Facilitate client movement in/out of the facility.
• Monitor self-administration of medication.
