Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Rapid Response Team (RRT) Nurse to join the Night shift on the MCG Health Medical Center campus. The role coordinates RRT assessments, prioritizes interventions, and ensures quality patient care with SBAR documentation across disciplines.

Requires active Georgia RN license or privilege under eNLC; ACLS/BLS; 2+ years in critical care; strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Georgia RN license or privilege to practice under eNLC.
• ACLS, BLS credentials required upon hire; NIHSS certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing practice in a critical care environment.
• Strong communication, customer service, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Responds to RRT calls.
• Coordinates patient care during events from assessment to evaluation.
• Communicates with medical staff and other disciplines to ensure outcomes.
• Documents assessments and interventions in the patient chart; SBAR documentation.
• Develops and implements RRT clinical practice guidelines.
• Monitors patient outcomes and conducts follow-up.
• Educates patients and families; educates staff on RRT.
• Supports professional practice and collaboration with Nurse Manager.
