Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist for night shift, Tuesday–Friday, 11pm–9:30am, to join our diagnostic imaging team in Atlanta. You will provide high-quality radiographic imaging for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients under Radiologist supervision, ensuring safety and adherence to imaging protocols.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography Program is required.
  • ARRT registry or registry-eligible with ARRT certification within six months of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Prepare examination rooms to ensure safety, infection control, and hygiene standards before procedures.
  • Identify patients using two identifiers and apply the AIDET framework during interactions.
  • Track patients from start to finish to ensure accurate workflow and documentation.
  • Process and archive images using PACS and reconcile daily exceptions.
  • Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and verify demographic data (medical record numbers, accession numbers).
  • Apply lead markers to designate orientation and include technologist initials on all images.
  • Maintain imaging equipment by performing routine quality control checks and calibrations.
  • Clean and inspect radiographic rooms and report any equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and support departmental workflow.
  • Ensure rooms are stocked at shift end.
  • Assist in training Radiology staff and students as assigned.
  • Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
JRCERT-accredited Radiography Program
ARRT certification within six months of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
