Job summary

Bloom Energy in Newark, DE is seeking a Quality Specialist to join our on-site team on the night shift. You will lead root cause analyses, autopsy critical components, and maintain lab equipment to evaluate material attributes.

You will generate measurement reports, collaborate with Quality, Product Design, and process engineering, and support manufacturing launches while driving continuous improvement across production processes.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent in science or other technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a complex production manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with quick resolution to production issues concerning equipment, process, or manpower.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings related to fixtures and tools.
• Experience implementing Production systems; lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis and autopsy critical components and systems to correlate conditions with product performance.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used to measure and evaluate critical material and dimensional attributes.
• Create measurement and analysis reports; catalog results for future reference.
• Communicate with Quality, Product Design, and process engineering team members.
• Support manufacturing launch of new and revised products and drive continuous improvement in production processes.
• Lead area problem solving using 8-Step and 5-Why methodologies to reduce quality issues.
