Job summary

H.B. Fuller in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to support manufacturing by performing chemical, physical, and visual testing of raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products.

The role ensures timely communication of results and supports batch adjustments and release decisions. You will record data in SAP, prepare reagents, maintain equipment, and help investigate non-conforming materials while upholding safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• An associate degree or higher in a chemistry-related field and lab experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Ability to follow safety requirements and use PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, physical, and visual testing using standard procedures.
• Record test data and usage decisions in SAP.
• Determine raw material adjustments to meet specs.
• Manage retain samples and prepare reagents for testing.
• Create non-conformance notifications and complete initial investigations.
• Support customer complaint investigations through batch and sample review.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and housekeeping standards.
• Prepare reagents and ensure readiness for scheduled production testing.
