Job summary

H.B. Fuller is hiring a Quality Laboratory Technician I to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation. You will perform quality control testing on raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

The role requires precise data entry in SAP and timely communication with Quality and Engineering teams. You will manage laboratory equipment, maintain proper documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to EHS policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree, technical diploma, or coursework in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or related field preferred.
• Previous laboratory experience required; chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in a controlled laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with quality systems, testing procedures, and documentation practices.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality testing on WIP, Finished Goods, and Engineering Trial products.
• Verify the validity of test results and enter data into SAP and QM systems.
• Ensure quality data is recorded and reported in quality records and portals.
• Identify Non-Conforming and Engineering Trial materials per site procedures.
• Test expired Finished Goods and advise on shelf-life decisions.
• Inspect customer-returned products and communicate findings for corrective actions.
• Generate COAs through SAP and submit documentation to portals.
• Maintain retained samples according to retention procedures.
• Communicate quality concerns and test results to Production and stakeholders.
• Maintain calibration, inventory, and housekeeping in the lab.
• Support safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
