Job summary

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3rd shift Quality Inspector role with a manufacturing client in Madison. The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting testing procedures during the manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.

This role provides administrative and technical support to the department including investigation and disposition of defective parts, creation and maintenance of standard defect lists, and part measurement and testing.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Solid math skills.
• 1-2 years prior experience in a quality inspection role.

Responsibilities

• Read QC specifications to ascertain acceptable part specifications.
• Check parts to meet customers' specifications.
• Perform tests on parts including visual inspection and physical testing.
• Evaluate data and reports for deviations from standards.
• Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained.
• Monitor testing procedures to ensure adherence to item specifications.
• Use standard measuring instruments and gauges as required.
• Distribute check sheets, gauges, plugs, and fixtures for technician inspection.
• Communicate customer requirements, sampling procedures, and tests to techs.
• Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
• Use computer programs to measure and check parts.
• Use CMM, vision systems to measure and check parts.
• Understand and follow ISO requirements.
