Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a Night Shift QA Inspector to monitor in-process production and perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections. The role requires reading and following control plans, using calipers, micrometers and vision systems, and recording data on a computer.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in QA and experience in plastic injection molding. Work shifts are 8:00pm–8:00am with 12-hour rotations and two weekends per month.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years prior experience in Quality Control
• Experience in Plastic Injection Molding environment
• Experience with precision measuring equipment
• Must have computer skills (Word and Excel)
• Knowledge of SPC and ISO 9001 & 13485

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections per the control plan
• Dimensionally inspect product using calipers, micrometers, vision systems
• Record statistical data using a computer
• Read and follow requirements on the control plan
• Maintain cleanliness of QA areas and equipment
