Job summary

Corelle Brands is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process, start-up, final and first article inspections of injection molded parts. You will audit presses, verify conformance to standards, and process discrepant material following SOPs.

The role includes shift coverage involving 11pm–7:30am with overtime and possible 12-hour shifts, and collaboration with the QA team to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years' experience in Quality.
• Preferably experience with working in a fast-paced assembly environment.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds; team lift if over 50 lbs.
• Familiar with basic quality assurance tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers).
• Must be familiar with SPC for Variable/Attribute charting.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to read Engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• In-process inspection of injection molded parts for critical dimensions, form, fit and function per Corelle Brands Inspection Plans.
• Meet with the previous shift inspector at shift change to discuss production issues from the off-going shift.
• Audit each press to ensure product conforms to Corelle Brands standards (dimensionally, visually, packaging labeling, palletizing).
• Perform First Article Inspection of injection molded parts per First Article Inspection procedure.
• Process discrepant material per Nonconforming Product SOP.
• Complete all audit forms daily (QA Inspection Log, In-Process Visual Inspection Log, Inspection History Cards, QA Daily Information Log, Line Clearance Log).
• Re-inspect the product after disposition is completed.
• Assist in training manufacturing personnel on quality requirements as necessary.
• Perform other duties as instructed by QA supervisor to maintain efficient operation.
