Job summary

Printpack is seeking an Inspector I for Newport News, VA, to perform thorough visual inspections and packaging duties. The role emphasizes attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and safe, organized production. The position may require working the night shift in a manufacturing environment.

Wage starts at $18.50 per hour, with a $2.50 premium for hours 7pm-7am. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be capable of following technical instructions and safety

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough visual inspections of products according to customer specifications.
Identify defects based on established quality standards.
Monitor product consistency and conformity to requirements.
Escalate quality defects to Quality Lead as appropriate.
Pack products according to specified procedures.
Apply appropriate labels and packaging materials.
Ensure proper product orientation and arrangement.
Participate in safety improvement programs/projects including BBSOs and 5S events.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area responsibilities including work area cleaning.
