MacLean-Fogg seeks a detail-oriented Inspector for 3rd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will perform inspections at multiple stages, read blueprints, and verify specifications using gauges while maintaining records and supporting continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes calibration, tool setup, and collaboration across Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to ensure quality and safety on an on-site, full-time basis.

Formación

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong shop math skills.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of calibration practices and quality inspection methods.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, heat treating, plating, and outside operations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to make sound quality decisions and effectively communicate findings.

Responsabilidades

• Perform first-piece, in-process, receiving, tooling, and final inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Utilize a variety of gauges and inspection equipment.
• Calibrate, set up, and maintain inspection tools and gauges.
• Inspect specialty tooling including forms, shaves, drills, and broaches before use.
• Verify compliance with plating, heat-treat, and other outside process specifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Identify quality concerns, issue rejections when necessary, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support communication and coordination between Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with 6S standards.
• Follow all Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
