MacLean-Fogg in Buffalo, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Inspector for 3rd shift to support quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting inspections, maintaining records, and driving continuous improvement.

You will read blueprints, use gauges, calibrate tools, and ensure compliance with process specs. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production.

Competenze

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong shop math skills.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of calibration practices and quality inspection methods.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, heat treating, plating, and outside operations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to make sound quality decisions and effectively communicate findings.

Mansioni

• Perform first-piece, in-process, receiving, tooling, and final inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Utilize a variety of gauges and inspection equipment.
• Calibrate, set up, and maintain inspection tools and gauges.
• Inspect specialty tooling including forms, shaves, drills, and broaches before use.
• Verify compliance with plating, heat-treat, and other outside process specifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Identify quality concerns, issue rejections when necessary, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support communication and coordination between Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with 6S standards.
• Follow all Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
