Bel Brands in Brookings, SD, seeks a Night Shift Quality Control Technician to perform chemical, physical, and sensory testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure specifications are met. Qualifications

• Requires education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma plus 1 to 3 years additional training laboratory procedures preferred.
• Preferred 3 to 5 years of experience in laboratory testing techniques in a dairy and/or food processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical tests to evaluate milk producer performance: butterfat, protein, antibiotic levels, water and sediment.
• Perform periodic testing of in-process and finished products for moisture, pH, fat, salt; collect samples for testing.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments and prepare equipment for testing duties.
• Enter test data into SAP and prepare test result reports.
• Follow GMPs, safety rules and environmental protocols.
