Job summary
Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a Night QA Lab Technician for the Joplin facility. You will perform quality assurance and quality control tasks, monitor production lines, calibrate instruments, and ensure packaging and labeling meet customer specifications.
The role emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to lab practices, and safe handling of samples. This position works the night shift 6:00 pm–6:30 am and requires a commitment to quality and safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; technical training a plus.
- Related experience in quality control or laboratory settings is advantageous.
- Able to read, write and speak English; strong documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit Good Documentation and Laboratory Practices.
- Perform online quality control checks of all production lines.
- Monitor package fill volumes/weights for label compliance.
- Code verification of packaging where applicable.
- Monitor lab and plant system temperatures and environmental conditions.
- Calibrate pH meters and perform pH measurements.
- Maintain sample retention library and track reagents.
- Respond to unexpected test results and discrepancies.
- Assist with general cleaning per laboratory sanitation requirements.
