Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a 3rd Shift Quality Control Technician to inspect materials and products, ensuring conformance to specifications. The role emphasizes data collection, reporting, and hands-on measurement using various tools in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include audits of processes, root cause analysis, lab testing, and training operators on quality standards. Strong reading of engineering drawings and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or technical college degree required.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and measure product at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards and Oldcastle or customer specifications.
• Investigate and report scrap product amounts and defect reasons to on-shift Supervisors, Process Technicians and Quality Manager in a timely manner.
• Capable of using and reading different types of measuring equipment such as tape measure, calipers, gauge blocks, temp guns, Go no/go gauges, etc.
• Use Microsoft Office to collect and maintain data and develop reports as required.
• Audit and review production processes including instructions, procedures, forms, Bill of Materials.
• Lead production teams in identifying and resolving Quality and service issues using root cause analysis tools.
• Perform structural load tests and analysis and maintain a clean, safe test lab.
• Create and issue quality, manufacturing and safety alerts and procedural documents.
• Provide guidance and training to machine operators on Quality standards.
• Read and understand Engineering drawings.
