Job summary

DENSO in North America seeks a Quality Inspector (Dept. 3150) for the night shift to ensure quality across all lines. You will audit line setups, verify parts, and conduct dimensional and functional inspections per drawings and standards.

You will train new Associates, support Kaizen and 5S efforts, and report any non-conformances to leadership. This role requires reading blue-prints and familiarity with SPC.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience using measurement equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of SPC and manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Responsibilities

• Check product and process quality on a bi-hourly basis.
• Verify parts supplied to the line and proper changeovers.
• Audit multiple departments for product types (nozzles, hose, washer, servo motors).
• Perform daily calibration of inspection equipment.
• Verify condition of measuring equipment and report wear.
• Train new Associates on quality requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IATF-16949 and perform QC audits.
• Document findings and notify supervisors of non-conformances.
• Read blue-print drawings and assist production with drawings.
• Conduct 100% inspections for new or high-risk products.
• Support 5S improvements and Kaizens.
• Follow procedures and report non-conformances immediately.
• Record non-conformances to support corrective actions.
• Promote IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 compliance
