Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a PVC Manufacturing Material Handler for the night shift (8pm–8am) in Louisville, KY. The role supports extrusion lines, quality checks, and packaging of PVC pipe, with forklift operation and adherence to safety standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training and certification for forklift use are provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good understanding of basic math for counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Confirm the product running on each extrusion line with the Production schedule.
• Assist with Quality Control duties including monitoring of saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, line confirmation, chamfer/bevel, and reference line spacing.
• Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities.
• Weigh and transport finished product via forklift (Atkoré certification to be provided).
• Cut crate boards to proper lengths and adjust if needed.
• Assist with start-up and changeover of PVC extrusion lines.
• Ensure pipe meets specifications and identify out-of-spec products.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.
• Proficient with material handling and packaging devices.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and rules.
