Job summary

AHC SGMC Behavioral Health in Rockville, MD seeks an experienced Psychiatric Technician for our Float Pool II. The role supports collaboration across care teams, monitors treatment, and helps implement patient care protocols in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in related field.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
• Prior experience in inpatient behavioral health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient-professional collaboration at all levels of health care.
• Monitors therapeutic treatment.
• Recognizes and values differences in the care team and creates a setting conducive to opinion-sharing.
• Collaborates with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures.
• Incorporates clinical guidelines into patient care.
• Uses information technology to deliver safe and efficient care.
