Job summary

Adventist HealthCare—AHC SGMC Behavioral Health in Rockville, MD—seeks an experienced Psychiatric Technician for our Float Pool II. You will support patient care in a per diem role with 36 hours weekly, predominantly night shifts, and a schedule requiring weekend shifts.

Qualifications include 2+ years in behavioral health, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS. Prior inpatient behavioral health experience is preferred. Per diem pay is $26/hr plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in related field.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
• Prior experience in inpatient behavioral health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient-professional collaboration at all levels of health care.
• Monitors therapeutic treatment.
• Recognizes and values differences in the care team and creates a setting conducive to opinion-sharing.
• Collaborates with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures.
• Incorporates clinical guidelines into patient care.
• Uses information technology to deliver safe and efficient care.
