Job summary

AHC SGMC Behavioral Health around Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Psych Tech for the Float Pool II to support our ministry of care across physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, monitoring therapeutic treatment, and applying clinical guidelines to patient care.

Compensation is per diem at $26/hour, with a night shift schedule, weekend requirements, and a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in related field.
• Prior experience in inpatient behavioral health setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient-professional collaboration at all levels of health care.
• Monitors therapeutic treatment.
• Recognizes and values differences in the care team and creates a setting conducive to opinion-sharing.
• Collaborates with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures.
• Incorporates clinical guidelines into patient care.
• Uses information technology to deliver safe and efficient care.
