Job summary

UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct psychiatric nursing care in a fast-paced behavioral health setting. You will monitor patients, respond to events, and follow established standards to ensure safety and quality care.

The role requires an RN license, 6 months RN experience, BLS/CPR, and CPI within 30 days. This is an onsite, full-time night shift position with a competitive hourly pay range and a comprehensive rewards program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; license required.
• RN license in good standing.
• At least 6 months RN experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Advanced CPI within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Initiates corrective action whenever patient presentation shows adverse symptomology.
• Responds to patient care situations utilizing nursing standards and protocols for treatment.
• Provides psychiatric nursing to a complex behavioral health patient population in a complex environment.
• Handles critical and highly stressful situations, reacting decisively with efficiency and composure.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
