Job summary

Acenda Integrated Health is seeking an Emergency Screener for Gloucester County to conduct emergency/mental health assessments and to identify appropriate dispositions for crisis situations. The role includes collaboration with psychiatrists and ER staff to determine the best course of action.

Responsibilities involve creating treatment plans, arranging referrals, and handling crisis protocols, with optional bilingual considerations and a 24/7 PES framework that supports individuals in acute

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental-health-related field from an accredited institution plus one year of post-master’s experience in a psychiatric setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in mental-health-related field plus three years post-bachelors experience in mental health, one in a crisis setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in mental-health-related field plus crisis-setting experience and active master’s program enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Provides referral and linkage when indicated.
• Develops and implements alternative treatment plans.
• Consults with psychiatrist and ER doctor on client disposition.
• Assesses drug/alcohol involvement when indicated and plans disposition for D/A patients.
• Completes Authorization for Police Transport form and screening documents.
• Collaborates with coworkers and agency staff to communicate and solve problems.
