Job summary

Acenda Integrated Health in New Jersey is seeking an Emergency Screener to conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and determine the need for hospitalization or crisis intervention. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize clients, assess inpatient or crisis care needs, and coordinate timely referrals to appropriate services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mental-health field and 3 years of post-degree experience including crisis work.
• NJ Screener Certification or eligibility to qualify.
• Valid driver's license with insured vehicle and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health evaluations to determine hospitalization needs.
• Stabilize and refer clients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess need for inpatient hospitalization and crisis care.
• Coordinate referrals inside and outside Behavioral Health Unit/ER.
• Communicate effectively with staff and manage time in high-pressure settings.
