Acenda Integrated Health invites you to join our Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services team in Cape May, NJ. The Emergency Screener conducts mental health evaluations to determine hospitalization needs and works with staff to ensure safe, timely decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a mental-health field with three years of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license; a Master’s degree with post-master experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field plus three years post-bachelor's, full-time equivalent, professional experience in the mental health field, one of which is in a crisis setting.
• Master's degree in the mental-health-related field plus one year post-master's, full-time equivalent, professional experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts mental health evaluations and assessments to determine the need for hospitalization, either voluntary or involuntary.
• Collaborates with staff to communicate and problem solve; analyzes work, sets goals, develops plans, and manages time effectively.
• Must regularly be able to see, speak and hear; physical ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, use hands and arms; occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
