Job summary

MetOx International, based in Houston, TX, seeks a Production Technician I to operate specialized manufacturing equipment in a clean, high-tech environment. You will follow SOPs, monitor processes, log actions, and support engineers on equipment improvements, with a night shift from 4:00 pm to 4:00 am four days a week.

The role emphasizes safety, TPM-based maintenance, and 5S organization, while training and certifications are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and technical course work.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment or mechanical support role.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Operates specialized equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures under supervision.
• Implements safe work practices and participates in a proactive safety culture to ensure the safety of employees, the public, and the environment.
• Completes training requirements and obtains certifications for assigned equipment.
• Conducts regular inspections of facility area and equipment.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas by using 5S methodology.
• Performs minor facility repairs and empties trash as needed.
• Performs basic maintenance activities according to TPM schedules.
• Works flexible hours and schedules to achieve manufacturing objectives.
• Assists in receiving goods, including gas cylinders and dewar deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned.
