Job summary

Commercial Metals Company seeks a Production Operator for the Night Shift in Houston. You will operate fabrication equipment, load and unload reels of rebar, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following established procedures.

You'll train on equipment, work overtime as needed, and engage in the company safety culture. The role requires teamwork, reading technical docs, and physical capability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside in heat and cold.
• Follow safety policies, rules, and regulations.
• Work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Read technical documents and service manuals.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders when needed.
• Willing to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Operate production machines per established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders.
